Deals Over Clients: $159,200 in 9 Days With ZERO Service Delivery...
And how I cope with deals that don't quite get off the launch pad as expected.
Of that $159,200?
Right at $85,560 was cash in the door…
The rest will be piling in over the next 9 months in payment plans.
No, this wasn’t the result of a Joint Venture…
I simply got control of a partners buyers list of roughly 13,000 peeps…
and I sent them nine emails.
The first 3 emails didn’t even have a pitch.
I just asked for interest.
Of the peeps who DID show interest?
I sent those folks a 5 page Google doc with an offer.
After that?
They were either in, out, or had a question or two.
I said “Thank you for your decision,” to those who said, “I’m out…”
And as you can see from this response?
I’m not needy or desperate for a sale.
Because of the stance I’ve adopted?
They wanted in even AFTER they said no.
Now, I said “Welcome aboard!” for those who said they were in.
I collected payments.
And I rolled on until the deadline.
As you can see I love, “I’m in!”
I appreciate, “I’m out!”
It’s the in between’s and maybes I don’t tolerate.
But let me rub some of the shiny off this nine day test…
This test campaign didn’t exactly meet my exceptions.
But that’s also why we call it a “test”.
I don’t make promises.
Given the number of buyers?
I would have liked to have seen another 70 sales.
At $6k a sale?
You can see how short it fell.
However, I know exactly what happened and why.
And I’ll be sharing my perspective on our next Ask Me Anything on Wednesday October 30th, at 11:00 am Pacific.
The good news?
My percentage of the deal is still pretty fat (and I’ll disclose the amount Live on our Zoom call).
This is why I structure deals the way I do.
Even when the rocket doesn’t quite get off the launch pad as high as we like?
We still walk away with everyone winning.
And the entire time I was in control of the deadline.
I didn’t have any demands made of me.
I had no one to answer to.
And I still had zero service delivery afterward.
That’s because my partner is super passionate about that part.
And my “reputation” took ZERO hits because the campaign fell short.
Matter of fact, my partner is throwing more offers at me to share with their list.
Want to know how to I put together deals like this?
How I experience the FREEDOM to choose where I invest my time and energy?
And still get paid, even if a campaign falls short?
