But this past few years have been pretty life changing.
All because I stopped hoping to be chosen by clients…
…and began choosing my partners.
The only way that was possible?
Make an offer SO dang mouth watering, people damn near tripped over themselves to gobble it up.
And what made them even more hungry for it than a fat kid in a candy store?
My limited ability to supply the result.
You see, NO ONE else was really making the kinds of offers I was back in 2015.
I started making offers NO ONE ELSE had the man parts to make…
“I’ll make it rain sales for ya without you lifting a finger…
…and you don’t pay me a dime until YOU get paid.”
There’s a little more to it than that…
But that was the crux of my offer.
“I’ll take all the risk and I don’t get paid until YOU get paid…”
And I know what you’re thinking, “OMG Tony, what if you do all that work and they screw you?!…”
It’s never happened.
Going on 10 years this year and not once have I gotten screwed.
And there’s a reason.
It’s how I put these deals together.
You see, I’m not a COST to my partners.
I’m a PAYCHECK.
And they don’t want those paychecks to stop.
Today, I actually take FEWER partners than I did years ago…
…but mainly because my desire is to go DEEP with a small handful.
That’s leverage.
Less hassle.
I’ll still take all the risk.
A calculated risk…
…but all the risk never the less.
When I first started doing “deals” with business owners, they loved it…
Mainly because I put my money where my mouth was.
I went from posting my “clients wins” on social media hoping to get someone else excited about working with me…
To having businesses throwing their digital assets at me.
Assets like, their email lists, Facebook groups, and Instagram accounts.
Why?
Because they were BUSY doing business owner stuff.
They had “to-do” lists as long as their arm…
And not NEARLY enough time and energy in the day to get to it all.
Stuff like running ads to get leads…
…and trying to keep the cost per lead low.
While hoping their ad account doesn’t get banned.
Creating online content…
Writing daily emails and shooting videos for social media…
Running webinars and micro-managing their stats…
Staying on top of sales teams and their sales call numbers…
Stressing out trying to manage their cost per call…
And I’ve not even touched on service delivery, accounting, and gosh forbid if they wanted to create NEW products.
I mean I’m not even scratching the surface here.
But you get the point…
Today, when I turn unconverted leads into sales for those very same business owners?
And they don’t have to micro manage every moving part?
Just sit back and watch sales roll in?
It’s a godsend to them…
It’s FOUND money…
I’m not an employee…
They aren’t my boss…
I have no deadlines, demands, or service delivery…
And I don’t have to sweat where my next payday is coming from.
This is the closest thing to freedom I’ve ever experienced.
I’m the captain of my own ship.
No calendars filled with endless sales calls.
No appointment setter headaches.
No one demanding I meet their deadlines for the lowest dollar.
Parters LOVE that I take stuff off their to do list and I can make it rain for them.
And because of this, I can negotiate my own terms and percentage of profits I bring in.
At first I was doing it with small mom & pop type coaching businesses.
Experts and coaches who were living on a sales see-saw everyday with smaller digital assets like 5,000 to 8,000 person email lists.
They’d get some sales…
Service them…
Run BACK to sales and create some social media content, write some emails, or shoot a video or two…
Just to get some more leads in their funnel…
Get those leads, do some strategy calls, and make a few sales…
“OH NO…I gotta run back to the service delivery…
Peeps are waiting!…”
But today, I work with much larger companies…
…companies that have A LOT of digital trashcan assets I can turn into cold hard cash.
Where I can produce an entirely new revenue stream for them without them lifting a finger.
Because whether someones running a mom & pop coaching business or a 50 employee company…
They have a lot on their plate.
They’re trying to play every instrument in the orchestra!
And that can get kinda exhausting…
…and impossible for long periods of time.
Instead, today, I give business owners the opportunity to run their business like a symphony conductor…
They’re not playing every instrument…
Instead they can relax and just direct the different pieces.
