Does client work suck for everyone?

No it doesn’t.

There are online folks that have mastered the client game.

And they dig it.

They either have teams to help them?

Or they’ve got a little boutique biz that’s got high demand.

I’m thrilled for each of them.

But frankly?

Lots of peeps don’t want either one.

Including me.

With teams?

There’s lots of moving parts.

Lotsa overhead.

Managing all those parts…

…plus the people.

And if there’s a slow month or two?

That overhead keeps chugging along.

So it creates a nasty squeeze on the owner.

Pressure.

Not my bag.

Now…

A boutique biz with high demand?

I’m aware of one lady who does half a millie a month.

Only opens $5k spots when she wants.

20 spots filled in minutes.

Quick $100,000.

But then she’s got service delivery for 6 weeks.

Plus…

She’s got big ad spend on the front end too.

So she’s not keep’n that half millie a month in da bank.

Plus there’s still lotsa lead aqusition.

Still overhead.

No my thing.

Either way?

I’ve got mad respect for both models.

But there’s a 3rd group of peeps out there..

NOT talked about.

And all they see is a GAP between where they are?

And where they want to be.

People who are drained from deadlines…

Client demands…

And service delivery.

Calendars packed full of strategy calls…

Many that don’t turn into consistent work.

Client emails demanding something not promised…

A text asking for a 6th revision (when only 3 were promised)…

Even the “pro’s” are feeling the heat these days.

Top copywriters who have 2 or 3 big clients on retainer…

…left scrambling to make ends meet when one drops them.

Listen…

These are some of the coolest most hard working people I’ve met…

And on the same hand?

Many of them have shared with me that client work just isn’t their jam anymore.

But they LOVE practicing the expertise they’ve honed over the years.
