I dunno...
I might be showing my age here...
But hustle is way over rated in my eyes.
Here's the thing the hustle bros don't tell ya.
“Scaling” and “10x’ing” a business comes with a cost…
But we knew that right?
Wrong…
There’s a price to scaling.
That’s usually trading time, energy, even money to run ads or hire help to scale the biz.
Then there’s the service delivery…
But the cost is what no one talks about…
The Hidden Cost That Nearly Broke Me (And Why "Scaling" Was a Trap)
Finding and chasing clients…
Client demands…
Demanding deadlines…
Never ending service delivery…
The time away from life, family, and fulfilling hobbies.
Sure…
The late night revisions on a Sunday night to get something done by Monday morning…
The date nights that get “rescheduled”…
The kids soccer game that has to be missed to nail the required deadline.
Are all costs…
But what happens when you’re focused on scaling…
…and the bottom drops out?
That’s when the cost really becomes SUPER obvious.
When The Bottom Dropped Out: How A Hospital Stay Revealed The Fatal Flaw In Hustle Culture
Up till 2023?
I was half hustle but leaning towards less bustle.
Thankfully my model wasn’t reliant on “scaling”…
The 0.05% Energy Discovery That Changed Everything
Because when I landed in the hospital?
I had about .05% the energy before going in.
Most days?
I couldn't get past 9 am before I was on the couch sorta sleeping.
Adrenals tanked.
Anxiety ridden.
Stomach in knots.
Yeah I wasn't about hustle.
I just wanted my life back.
My fiancée Brandi?
She figured out the whole thimble full of energy...
...and oceans of return in her early 20's.
Based on her own health challenges.
Not having a lot of energy doesn't have to mean less income.
It just means you gotta be open to smarter ways of producing it.
Less time...
Less energy...
More return.
And right now?
It's simpler than it's ever been.
But I don't need to hustle 60 to 80 hours a week to do it.
How A C- Student Cracked The Code To 6-Figure Partnerships Working 6 Months A Year
Last year I had my best year ever...
Worked 6 months out of the year.
Did one partnership campaign a month.
Got paid a fat commish up front of each one…
…but I also continued to get paid 10 to 12 months AFTER each one.
Life changing?
Sure.
Because each campaigns recurring income stacked on top of one another.
Not to mention the multiple six figure paydays on the front end of each one.
More than anything...
My quality of life...
OUR quality of life (because Brandi and I are team)...
Was better than ever.
We answer to no one (well no one but the IRS lol)...
My health still isn't back to what it was...
But even when it is...
Nothing changes for me.
The lesson STUCK.
It's not about how much time or hustle I put in.
It's about how smart my approach is.
The "Trashcan Asset" Method That Pays Me 12 Months After The Work Is Done
And turning companies trashcan digital assets into mountains of cash they can use to further their mission?
Without them lifting a finger...
Or paying me a dime up front.
Is about as leveraged as I've found for a kid who only graduated high school with a C- grade average.
I don’t need to:
Build an email list
Create a webinar or VSL
Run ads
Manage a sales team
Or do a single sales call
My income isn’t dependent on any of it.
I leverage my partners assets they’ve already produced.
And I turn them into an entirely new hands off revenue stream.
Without a lick of service delivery on my part.
Shoot…
I felt so strongly about the model I wrote Deals Over Clients.
If you haven't grabbed it on Amazon?
And you're not tied to hustle culture?
It may be just what you're looking for.
In your corner,
